Folksong: Caravan

This fantasy folksong describes an imagined nomadic, desert culture, which lives primarily off of its raids on passing trade caravans.

Composer’s Comment: The juxtaposition of 3/4 and 4/4 meter makes the rhythms feel foreign and exotic, and I tried to use them to communicate how irregular the footfalls of horses would be on the slippery desert sand.
